Oatmeal, Cocoa and Inositol Cookies

A healthy, satisfying, and functional snack. These cookies combine the deep flavor of cocoa with the benefits of inositol and whole grain oats, in an ideal mid-morning or afternoon snack with no added sugar.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of fine oat flakes
  • 1 ripe banana, mashed
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons of pure cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla essence
  • 1 tablespoon of coconut oil
  • 1 teaspoon of Inositol
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • Dark chocolate chips (optional)

Preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C.
  2. Mix all the ingredients until you get a homogeneous dough.
  3. Form small balls and place them on baking paper.
  4. Lightly crush them with a spoon.
  5. Bake for 12–15 minutes or until lightly browned.
  6. Let cool on a wire rack before serving.
